‘Eureka ZoneSafe2’ from Avonwood is a vehicle & machine safety system for personnel proximity detection and driver identification. The system provides driver identification for wheeled vehicles, proximity detection of personnel, auto shut off/activation and fuel saving capabilities.

Minimising the risks of injury to personnel is an essential requirement of health and safety and is exactly what the Eureka Zone Safe 2 system helps to do.

Eureka ZoneSafe 2- Complete Vehicle & Machine Safety

Eureka Zone Safe 2 is one of the latest generations of safety systems developed by Avonwood Developments. The system demonstrates how the Eureka active tagging technology provides a truly hands free and cost effective solution for vehicle and static machine safety.

Hands free is exactly that, the system does not require drivers or operatives to present an id card, use a key pad or any other manual method of authorisation, allowing a completely uninterrupted work flow. Personnel only need to carry a Zone Safe detection tag, each of these has a unique identification and can can be placed into a pocket or clipped onto a belt.

Eureka Zone Safe 2 combines driver identification with personnel and operator detection, to offer a complete safety system. The system can work in different ways depending on the equipment and application where it is used. For example when Zone Safe 2 is used on a refuse vehicle the compacter can only be operated by authorised personnel and the vehicle only driven by an authorised driver. The vehicle will always be left in a safe mode preventing tampering and accidental operation.

Another example where Zone Safe 2 provides excellent safety is with proximity detection around live vehicles and machines. Operatives or drivers will be warned or the machine can be shut down when personnel are detected within a live safety zone. This is ideal for heavy industrial machinery and vehicles with driver blind spots operating in proximity to other personnel.
